Getting There:  You can reach Halut by flying to Ternate, Kao or Galela and continue by car or take the night boat to Tobelo as a cheaper alternative. Be prepared for interaction with the “local” way of traveling.

Laguage:  Although the people in general will speak the local dialect, everyone also speaks the general language of Indonesia called “Bahasa”. A simple dictionary brings you a long way and people enjoy your trying.

Currency :  the local currency is the Rupiah. The easiest way to get money is upon arrival in Manado (the local “hub”) out of an ATM machine.
